D'ORSAY's olfactory fetishes refer to the founder's aesthetic universe, his passion for noble materials and avant-gardism. Each instrument is recognisable by its geometric aesthetic without ornamentation. The instruments combine light and shadow, openings and facets of material, revealing the diffusion beads, tracing grooves in the metal, repeating shapes that are always essential and pure.
This precious perfumed instrument is sculpted from solid brass at our Haut-Doubs workshop France. Use the pipette to gently squeeze two drops of the perfume concentrate into the opening at the bottom of the instrument. Shaking the diffuser will stimulate the beads and release the selected fragrance.
This brass instrument needs very little maintenance. Brass is a non-ferrous alloy which mankind has known since ancient times. It was used to craft jewellery and pieces of art, just like today. Following this line of thought, we could consider woodwind instruments like saxophones to be part of the “brass” family, as they are also made of this shiny metal. In its untreated form, this noble metal develops a patina with the passing of the seasons and years.
